The Turks and Caicos islands are an island paradise in the Atlantic Ocean. If you’re looking to really get away, relax and enjoy some of the most gorgeous scenery you’ve ever seen, a holiday to Turks and Caicos is just the ticket. It’s a great destination for US travelers too since they use the US dollar as currency. From all sorts of beach activities to relaxing in one of the many incredible Turks and Caicos resorts, you’ll never be short of enjoyable things to do here. Here are 5 top activities not to miss:

Explore the Beaches

Number one activity for a reason! The beaches on Turks and Caicos are some of the most beautiful in the world. Grace Bay is one of the most well-known beaches, and for good reason. There are tons of resorts here so you’ll have plenty of options for places to stay and people to meet. If you’re looking for some place a little more secluded, check out Pelican Beach.

Party!

Just like with most beach destinations, there is a happening nightlife on Turks and Caicos that you’ve gotta check out! Most of the resorts and restaurants have fun events going on each month, and there are some bars as well. Check out the Wine Bar, and Lemon Cafe which has an Arabian night each month. You can find live music and karaoke at Danny Buoy’s, and carry on the after party at Jimmy’s Dive Bar.

Snorkel and Scuba Dive

You absolutely have to check out the underwater life while you’re on holiday in Turks and Caicos. There are so many great places to organize a snorkeling or scuba diving excursion while you’re here. If you’ve never gone scuba diving and are a little nervous you can try snuba diving. This bridges the gap between the two! The diving tank stays on a raft so you don’t have to carry all that heavy equipment.

Go Fishing

Spend one day under the water then the next day on the water! Book a fishing excursion and get out on a boat! It’s so fun to experience the bright blue waters by boat and try your hand at catching a few big ones. You can book deepsea fishing, bottom fishing, light tackle trolling or any other kinds of fishing trips on Turks and Caicos.

Rent a Private Villa

While it’s a total blast to stay in a resort and enjoy all the awesome amenities there, it’s a completely different experience to stay on Turks and Caicos in your own private villa. You can even rent villas with a personal concierge so all your needs will be attended to. Imagine looking out onto your own private beach, palm trees swaying in the breeze, just after the most luxurious massage of your life.

There’s no doubt that New Zealand is an excellent travel destination for families looking to experience all the wonders that nature has to offer. Known for it’s pristine nature, tourists to New Zealand can best see what the country has to offer by visiting one or more of its 14 national parks, and there’s even two UNESCO World Heritage Sites to see as well! The parks not only show the spectacular beauty of nature, but many have historical significance too. Whether you choose visit parks on the North Island or on the South Island, here’s some of the best you simply shouldn’t miss out on.

North Island

On the North Island you will find Tongariro National Park, which is designated as a World Heritage Site. Historically, this was the fourth national park to be established in New Zealand, and its highlights include active volcanoes and numerous Maori religious sites. Perfect for hiking and learning the cultural significance of the indigenous people of New Zealand, Tongariro National Park is a must-see!

Te Urewera National Park is the largest of the North Island parks and is home to nearly all the bird species of the North Island, making it an ideal place to bird watch! There’s also Egmont National Park, known for its excellent rock climbing and hiking opportunities, thanks to Mount Taranaki.

South Island

Abel Tasman National Park is famous for its pristine shoreline, and if you’re holidaying with your family in New Zealand, it’s a great place to take beautiful walks along the beach. Thanks to its many inlets, it is also an ideal place to try out some kayaking, or even rent a boat and fish!

Kahurangi National Park is New Zealand’s second largest park, and its highlights include ancient land formations. It’s a perfect place to take in a beautiful view, and as the sun sets across the spectacular landscape, it can be a very romantic experience for you and your loved one. The Heaphy Track, one of Kahurangi’s most notable natural attractions, is famously known as one of the nine Great Walks.

The Great Walks

The best way to see New Zealand in all it’s glory is to explore on foot, and if you’ve seen any of the Lord of the Rings films, you’ll know that’s a lot of walking! Not only will it give you the opportunity to explore the country at your own pace, but it will also allow you to take in the gorgeous natural surroundings. The Great Walks are one of the country’s biggest natural attractions, and they’re great for experiencing the beauty of the national parks!

Wildlife

New Zealand is home to a wealth of amazing creatures, and Rakiura National Park is the place to go to try and spot the nocturnal kiwi in the wild. Egmont National Park is a great place to see the fernbird and blue duck, while the Whanganui National Park is home to both long-tailed and short-tailed bats!

The UK has a lot to offer both the residents and the visitors; it has a rich history that residents are proud of, glorious regional diversity and cultural festivities to keep visitors fascinated. This makes a tour of Great Britain both fascinating and exciting. Explore the West Midlands and the Peak District where you find Birmingham which is the epicenter of the West Midlands which once ruled as the world’s industrial metropolis. Though with a reputation of culture hating people and car loving community, this has changed over the recent years and museums have been stuffed up with industrial artifacts. Explore the scenic shires surrounding Birmingham, highlighted by the stunning Malvern Hills, and if you drift further north the rugged scenery of the Peak District.

The Peak District contains hills and dales which made up Britain’s first National Park back in 1951 and it offers a relaxed countryside to those who live around and can drive here occasionally to enjoy its natural beauty. If you love walking, then the Pennine Way leads you to the misty peaks of Dark Peak and through tiny villages. Visit the Chatsworth House near Bakewell and then head to the town that is distinctive for cakes and well dressing ritual.

If you fancy something abroad though then Greece is well known for its numerous islands, ancient ruins, quaint white washed villages; sun kissed sandy beaches and exceptional cuisine. It is made up of its mountainous mainland and hundreds of islands each special in its very own way and offering beautiful attractions.

Visit the island of Rhodes that is located in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Turkey. It is characterized by lush pine trees, wild flowers and structures of historical significance.

Crete is one of the largest Greek Islands which is spacious and pleasantly varied from the stunning coastline to the towering rugged mountains and rolling countryside dotted with olive trees. You may choose to wander in its bustling metropolitan cities or take in the beauty of its villages tucked away from the crowded cities. Crete still bears the marks of the past from the numerous phases of civilizations it has gone through over the centuries.

For those who want to try and see it all, the Europe rail pass is ideal for reducing travelling costs if you want to traverse through Europe, however it may be tricky to work your route to fit your budget. In the past all you needed to do was to get a pass and hop into any train and get going, this is now difficult due to limited seat availability and some countries such as France charge a lot for seat reservations. As always book early as most trains charge less on early bookings; avoid expensive last minute fares.

One of the tricks you can use to get the most of your pass is travel by night and also mix and match by using rail pass on expensive routes and buying the cheaper tickets for the shorter routes. The Passes also do come with some kinds of discounts like 50% off ferry charges in Greece, Italy and Germany; you may also find some discounts too on buses by just being a holder of the pass.

Parking your car at the airport is a really good idea, for many different reasons.

Parking vehicles at the airport has gotten a bad rap over the years as being unsafe, costly or both. This may have been true in the past, but nowadays, things have changed.

Airport carparks are now very well secured, with security fencing, 24 CCTV, and on site security on the look out at all times. And parking is more affordable than you may think also. Many airports offer deals, and the sooner in advance you book, you may end up making significant savings.

Take car parking Bristol airport for example. Here is an example of an airport car park that understands just how serious you take the safety of your vehicle, and has applied measures to ensure that when you leave your car with them, it will be as safe as can be. They also have some fantastic price packages, which cater to evert budget, be it short, medium or long term parking.

Bristol airport car parking couldn’t be more convenient, whether you are actually travelling, and laving your car, or if you are there short term, just to drop off a traveller, or perhaps pick up a relative who is flying in. The car parks are close to the Terminal buildings, within walking distance in most cases, so this just adds to the convenience.

Another airport that just “gets it” when it comes to pricing and safety measures, is Luton. You will find airport parking Luton to be just as easy, safe and inexpensive as Bristol.

It is worth mentioning that both of these airport’s car parks are award winners in the field of safety. Both were awarded the Park Mark Award, which is given in recognition of safety by the Association of Chief Police Officers.

With all this in mind, you now know that your vehicle will be safe, secure and watched over in the very best manner. With prices that are very agreeable, sometimes even cheaper than the cost of getting a train, bus or taxi to the airport, there is not a lot to dislike about parking at the airport. The plusses far out weight the minuses!

Armed with this knowledge, you may try using the car park at your local airport, where as you may never have considered it before. And once you have used the service one time, you will be sure to find that you will use it again, after seeing how cheap, safe and convenient fit really is.

Queensland in Australia is located in the north east of the country and is bordered by the northern territory, south Australia, new south wales and the coral sea.

Whether you’re a city lover, landscape lover or someone who enjoys the immense isolation, then Queensland has something for everyone.

Most of the entire population of the region is based along the coastline near beaches. If you are a party goer then the beaches at the Gold Coast will provide you will all you need. Surfers paradise specifically has been hugely popular with tourists and backpackers for decades.

For those of you that are looking for something a little quieter, then Coolangatta in the South part of the Gold Coast is probably where you need to go. Kirra bay and Rainbow Bay are a more relaxed affair and can be enjoyed all year around.

Moving inland a little, you will find rolling farmlands, picturesque towns, vineyards and rainforests that can be hiked to your hearts content.

Heading up north past the Gold Coast, you enter the Sunshine coast. This is way more relaxed than the Gold coast and is more family and couple oriented. Here, there are a multitude of sights and things to do. Steve Irwin’s Australian zoo and the glasshouse mountains national park can be found there.

Some great flight deals to the likes of Brisbane in Queensland can be found online as places such as flightnetwork.com. Many airline operators provide a huge schedule of international flights to and from Brisbane.

If you decide to venture even further north, then you’ll be rewarded with the Whitsunday islands which are world famous for their glistening white sandy beaches and exotic blue waters. There are plenty of opportunities to do some wildlife spotting around here for those enthusiasts.

The great dividing range runs the length of Queensland and separates the lowlands from the dry interior – otherwise known as the outback. The west of this great dividing range is the start of the outback, that we’ve seen on movies. Gorgeous red dusty roads as far as the eye can see, and occasional cattle stations pebble dashed sporadically across it makes up the general landscape of this wonderful region.

The outback is so vast and empty that you really need to experience it in order to appreciate how massive it actually is. There are many outback tour companies in the region who will provide you with an exhilarating glimpse of the area.

All in all, Queensland has plenty to offer everyone from casual backpackers, to family tourists. It’s definitely worth thinking about visiting whenever you get the chance.

One of the most frequent questions that I am asked, regarding the travel lifestyle is, “Don’t you get homesick” or “Do you miss your family and friends”?

This is something that I considered heavily before I embarked on my adventure through South America, which I have been traveling for the past eight months. What will it be like to not see or talk to in-person everyone that I know back home? Will I get extremely homesick and miss everyone too much?

Luckily with the advancement and affordability of telecommunication technology, this has made my life much more connected to everyone I know and love back home. I actually talk to my family more frequently now, even then when I was living away from home but in my part of the world.

There are several sites that provide affordable international calling and I can call my parents and friends at the drop of a hat. The world has become much smaller through these advances over the recent years. I make an effort to sit down and call my parents back home every Sunday evening, otherwise it probably would not happen because I would be too busy exploring a new city or hanging out with new friends.

I have found that making free calls with certain services, provides travelers with the best combination of affordability and effectiveness. No matter what your lifestyle dictates, your need to call friends and family on the other side of the world, whether you are backpacking for a few weeks/months or have permanently relocated, there are services that can help you keep in touch.

In my search for ways to stay connected, I have found that you don’t need to be tied to the typical Skype conversation stuck to your computer. You can make calls back to friends and family from your cell phone, land line, or from your computer. All these options really have made my travels more enjoyable and I have effectively kept the Homesick dog at bay.

If one of the fears that has kept you from pursuing the travel lifestyle of your dreams is being homesick, fret no more! Book that ticket to your dream location today, grow through the experience, and most importantly take the risk to live the life you have imagined.

Do you consider finding a good home for your money to be an important concept?

Well if you do, then you’re on the right track to making sure that everything is working properly – financially speaking.

A lot of people don’t take enough time to properly research all the different options that are available to them when it comes to depositing and withdrawing money from banks.

When we jet off somewhere on a holiday or even a longer trip, we want to have our money easily accessible and available to us 24/7. Nowadays, this is possible with the advancement of modern technology.

You should be on the look out for which types of account would be suitable for you and then seeing what banks offer the services that you are looking for. One good tip that not many people do is to compare banks accounts online or with other travelers.

This will give you a chance to learn from others who have experienced banking in other countries. They can tell you of potential pitfalls and also of any useful tricks that they learned along the way.

You need to have all your banking research done well before you leave for your trip. There’s no point in expecting to find things out along the way. What happens if you lose your ATM/Credit card while roaming around Thailand? What number do you call? You should have all this information on hand and be able to go about resolving it quickly.

When you are searching, banks like Halifax.co.uk are a good place to start. They have many different types of accounts and provide a full online banking service which is imperative for travel these days.

Don’t leave it until the last minute either to sort out your banking details. Always try and get a second ATM card or credit card to have on standby. This will give you insurance in the emergency situation of you losing your current card.

Try and set up a current account, separate from you personal current account. This will let you use online banking to manage them all and therefore allow you to keep things manageable.

Having a good, solid plan for when you are away travelling in relation to your funds is crucial. No one wants to have to spend hours on the phone back home to your bank trying to sort out a mess that may have been avoided initially if you told them where you were going. This is referring to using your credit card in countries where your bank wasn’t informed you’d be visiting.

Try and get the financial side of things sorted before you head away and you’ll end up having a stress free trip!

From the mega clubs to intimate hangouts, London has a wide range of nightlife spots sure to satisfy any appetite. Grab some friends, book tickets on monarch airlines, and club hop the weekend away at some of London’s top party venues.

Fabric
Built at a former Victorian meat cellar, Fabric is now championed as one of the best clubs in the world. Its domination within London’s scene is partly attributed to Fabric’s willingness to showcase the up-and-coming talent along with its exceptional resident DJs. The speakers beneath the floor will buzz through your toes and the plush seating will ease your sore body during dance breaks. With the best acts usually arriving at 3am, be prepared for a relentless all-nighter.

Corsica Studios
Created by an independent organization that crafts creative spaces within London, Corsica Studios is an award-winning arts and entertainment venue built within two railway arches. A massive diversion from the typical superclub blueprint, the music is experimental and the clubbing experience is daring. Every genre of music has echoed through the rafters here (including a few you haven’t heard of yet). Expect to be shoulder to shoulder with hipsters and art students, seeking the next big musical sound.

Pacha
Bringing the spirit of Ibiza to London, the luxurious club attracts big European DJ names and doles out a hefty entrance fee. Pacha is located in a historic 1920s building behind Victoria Station. Preferring glitter to grit, Pacha is glamorously decked out with dripping chandeliers, original oak paneling, and an incredible stained glass ceiling. The crowd is beautiful and stylish; being impeccably dressed is a must. Predominantly spinning house music, this is not for those who prefer the underground.

Egg
The look of Egg is both industrial and sleek, with each of its three floors boasting a distinct look and vibe. The superb garden and courtyard, perfect for a chill-out session, makes it a standout for the summer clubbing crowd. Also reminiscent of Ibiza, the music is predominantly house and electro. With a 24-hour license, the most hedonistic and hardcore arrive in droves for the Sunday morning after-party breakfast session. Who says you have to go to sleep at sunrise? Prepared to have your mind scrambled.
