Number one activity for a reason! The beaches on Turks and Caicos are some of the most beautiful in the world. Grace Bay is one of the most well-known beaches, and for good reason. There are tons of resorts here so you’ll have plenty of options for places to stay and people to meet. If you’re looking for some place a little more secluded, check out Pelican Beach.

Party!

Just like with most beach destinations, there is a happening nightlife on Turks and Caicos that you’ve gotta check out! Most of the resorts and restaurants have fun events going on each month, and there are some bars as well. Check out the Wine Bar, and Lemon Cafe which has an Arabian night each month. You can find live music and karaoke at Danny Buoy’s, and carry on the after party at Jimmy’s Dive Bar.

Snorkel and Scuba Dive

You absolutely have to check out the underwater life while you’re on holiday in Turks and Caicos. There are so many great places to organize a snorkeling or scuba diving excursion while you’re here. If you’ve never gone scuba diving and are a little nervous you can try snuba diving. This bridges the gap between the two! The diving tank stays on a raft so you don’t have to carry all that heavy equipment.

Go Fishing

Spend one day under the water then the next day on the water! Book a fishing excursion and get out on a boat! It’s so fun to experience the bright blue waters by boat and try your hand at catching a few big ones.  North Island

Kahurangi National Park is New Zealand’s second largest park, and its highlights include ancient land formations. It’s a perfect place to take in a beautiful view, and as the sun sets across the spectacular landscape, it can be a very romantic experience for you and your loved one. The Heaphy Track, one of Kahurangi’s most notable natural attractions, is famously known as one of the nine Great Walks.

The Great Walks

The best way to see New Zealand in all it’s glory is to explore on foot, and if you’ve seen any of the Lord of the Rings films, you’ll know that’s a lot of walking!  Not only will it give you the opportunity to explore the country at your own pace, but it will also allow you to take in the gorgeous natural surroundings. The Great Walks are one of the country’s biggest natural attractions, and they’re great for experiencing the beauty of the national parks!

Wildlife

New Zealand is home to a wealth of amazing creatures, and Rakiura National Park is the place to go to try and spot the nocturnal kiwi in the wild. Egmont National Park is a great place to see the fernbird and blue duck, while the Whanganui National Park is home to both long-tailed and short-tailed bats!

The Peak District contains hills and dales which made up Britain’s first National Park back in 1951 and it offers a relaxed countryside to those who live around and can drive here occasionally to enjoy its natural beauty. If you love walking, then the Pennine Way leads you to the misty peaks of Dark Peak and through tiny villages. Visit the Chatsworth House near Bakewell and then head to the town that is distinctive for cakes and well dressing ritual.

If you fancy something abroad though then Greece is well known for its numerous islands, ancient ruins, quaint white washed villages; sun kissed sandy beaches and exceptional cuisine. It is made up of its mountainous mainland and hundreds of islands each special in its very own way and offering beautiful attractions.

Visit the island of Rhodes that is located in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Turkey. It is characterized by lush pine trees, wild flowers and structures of historical significance.

Crete still bears the marks of the past from the numerous phases of civilizations it has gone through over the centuries.

For those who want to try and see it all, the Europe rail pass is ideal for reducing travelling costs if you want to traverse through Europe, however it may be tricky to work your route to fit your budget.  In the past all you needed to do was to get a pass and hop into any train and get going, this is now difficult due to limited seat availability and some countries such as France charge a lot for seat reservations. As always book early as most trains charge less on early bookings; avoid expensive last minute fares.

One of the tricks you can use to get the most of your pass is travel by night and also mix and match by using rail pass on expensive routes and buying the cheaper tickets for the shorter routes. The Passes also do come with some kinds of discounts like 50% off ferry charges in Greece, Italy and Germany; you may also find some discounts too on buses by just being a holder of the pass.

RUSSIA

This vast country is one of the top touristic destinations in the world, it boasts of 23 World Heritage Sites and some of the most luxurious resorts, probably because it is a city with lots of wealthy billionaires.

You can take a luxurious trip down the Volga River, the longest in Europe and a popular destination for touristic fishing and surfing.

The Suzdal city is immensely religious and houses majestic, monasteries and mighty cathedrals. For those of you that are looking for something a little quieter, then Coolangatta in the South part of the Gold Coast is probably where you need to go. Kirra bay and Rainbow Bay are a more relaxed affair and can be enjoyed all year around.

Moving inland a little, you will find rolling farmlands, picturesque towns, vineyards and rainforests that can be hiked to your hearts content.

Heading up north past the Gold Coast, you enter the Sunshine coast. This is way more relaxed than the Gold coast and is more family and couple oriented. Here, there are a multitude of sights and things to do. Steve Irwin’s Australian zoo and the glasshouse mountains national park can be found there.

The great dividing range runs the length of Queensland and separates the lowlands from the dry interior – otherwise known as the outback. The west of this great dividing range is the start of the outback, that we’ve seen on movies. Gorgeous red dusty roads as far as the eye can see, and occasional cattle stations pebble dashed sporadically across it makes up the general landscape of this wonderful region.

The outback is so vast and empty that you really need to experience it in order to appreciate how massive it actually is. There are many outback tour companies in the region who will provide you with an exhilarating glimpse of the area.

All in all, Queensland has plenty to offer everyone from casual backpackers, to family tourists. It’s definitely worth thinking about visiting whenever you get the chance.

This is something that I considered heavily before I embarked on my adventure through South America, which I have been traveling for the past eight months. What will it be like to not see or talk to in-person everyone that I know back home? Will I get extremely homesick and miss everyone too much?

I make an effort to sit down and call my parents back home every Sunday evening, otherwise it probably would not happen because I would be too busy exploring a new city or hanging out with new friends.

You can make calls back to friends and family from your cell phone, land line, or from your computer. All these options really have made my travels more enjoyable and I have effectively kept the Homesick dog at bay.

Created by an independent organization that crafts creative spaces within London, Corsica Studios is an award-winning arts and entertainment venue built within two railway arches. A massive diversion from the typical superclub blueprint, the music is experimental and the clubbing experience is daring. Every genre of music has echoed through the rafters here (including a few you haven’t heard of yet). Expect to be shoulder to shoulder with hipsters and art students, seeking the next big musical sound. 

Pacha
Bringing the spirit of Ibiza to London, the luxurious club attracts big European DJ names and doles out a hefty entrance fee. Pacha is located in a historic 1920s building behind Victoria Station. Preferring glitter to grit, Pacha is glamorously decked out with dripping chandeliers, original oak paneling, and an incredible stained glass ceiling. The crowd is beautiful and stylish; being impeccably dressed is a must. Predominantly spinning house music, this is not for those who prefer the underground.

Egg
The look of Egg is both industrial and sleek, with each of its three floors boasting a distinct look and vibe. The superb garden and courtyard, perfect for a chill-out session, makes it a standout for the summer clubbing crowd. Also reminiscent of Ibiza, the music is predominantly house and electro. With a 24-hour license, the most hedonistic and hardcore arrive in droves for the Sunday morning after-party breakfast session. Who says you have to go to sleep at sunrise? Prepared to have your mind scrambled.
